Colonial Girl

Jadyin poses before heading out to school for 5th grade colonial days. We whipped up a blouse and skirt out of some old crib sheets and fabric banner material we had in the closet. She had to take her lunch in a tin bucket and it had to be food that would have been available to eat in those days. She wrapped a ham sandwich (on a homemade roll), a carrot stick, apple and cookie in her bandana and placed in her bucket. They spent the day in the classrooms as if it were in the 1800's, and then this afternoon they did crafts, games & etc. that would have been done in those days. They finished up the day writing about their experiences and how they felt about the day. A fun day for all.
