"Control"

So Rob and I took the little Bass Boat out to Pleasant Creek today to take a little troll around.  It was pretty windy, but we decided that we don't get the day off together too often and we might as well just go for it.  So we backed down to the boat dock and got everything ready to head out.  We had some poles, but no bait...just artificial, but we threw them in anyway.  Decided it looked good to have poles and a net.  Rob held the boat for me as I got in.  It was pretty wobbly and made me a little nervous until Rob hopped on the backside to balance us out.  He turned on the motor and off we went.  We started across the lake to get to a little calmer water when I heard Rob say " okay, you control now"....I was thinking huh? I control what?  where we go?, so I replied "huh?" and he says again "you control now".  I replied I control what?  He said "with the pole".  I began looking all over the front end of the boat for a pole to control it with and said "what pole, and how do I control it?".  At this point Rob begins laughing and says "Paula, you can troll with your fishing pole now until we get to the spot we are heading to".  "OH, I CAN TROLL NOW, NOT I CONTROL NOW"  Bahahahahaha.  Yep,  just another day in the life of an ol' married couple.

Honey, your hearing hasn't changed since you were a kid. You always came up with things like that.
I love it. Glad you got to use the boat. Mom
