Reunions.....

as in the plural form of reuniting with hero's, family, & friends.  That is what we have been up to this last month.  We celebrated Rob's birthday/ Father's day as a family....went to church, played some tennis and spent the afternoon at the pool.  The next week Nana, Papa, and Brittney & Jazmin came from AZ. to visit us and spend some time.  We also got a chance to spend a day with Uncle Tim for a visit.  Due to our work schedules, we weren't able to join the rest of the Burley gang in Boone for a family gathering.  We are sure they had a great time getting together and catching up.
above Rob's meets his childhood hero...Dallas Cowboy Co-MVP, Randy White
The HS youth group from Faith get together to have a night of fun at Planet X
Mehmen "Summer Camp" takes place at the farm over the fourth of July weekend.  What a blessing to have a homestead to gather together at.  I was soo blessed to be raised on a Farm and am even more grateful and blessed to still have a farm to go home to and to take my kids to so that they can just have a glimpse of the value, joy, and blessings that came from the farm.  Above, it's a little windy, but the gang forges ahead in setting up tents in the yard.
Grandma still has it!!!  she can swing with the best of them.  She wasn't keen on the idea of jumping though.
We gather to celebrate the 1st year of the youngest edition of the family....Happy Birthday Gweny!!!  Fun times with fun cousins.  You can have your cake and icing too!!! (Emma, Jaydin, Gwen, Connor, Jackie, Jake, Olivia, & Austin...not pictured Alex & Jeremey)
Alex is a sport and poses for a pic with Jaydin :0).
One of the best things about the farm is the freedom to drive around in the garden cart and get some quality practice time in for the ever quick approaching date of getting ones learner's permit.  HANG ON BOYS!!!
Nothin' better than some time in the sun and in the sand box.  Creative outdoor play is what fills the day at the Farm.
Mom & Dad (aka- Grandma & Grandpa) posing by the ever popular Big Rock....oh if that rock could talk, what stories it would tell.
Dirty Feet contest.....the sign of a really good time at the Farm is the fact that the feet were dirty by days end!
Hey Plainfield Pirates class of 1986!!!  Yep our 25th year class reunion this summer.  Here we are getting ready to head over to be in the annual P'field Days parade.  We had to laugh cuz we were sitting on lawn chairs and the class of '71 celebrating their 40th had padded church folding chairs on their float...Yeah we're still young whipper snappers compared to them.
Say Cheese....remember the last time we rode in the parade?  Our senior year, as homecoming candidates.  Some of us marched in the band and others rode on the senior float.  Was fun to travel the town and reminisce about the ol' neighborhood and wave to those favorite teachers, community members and families that keep our ol' town going.
Janel (Yilek) Huinker, Janet Headington, Michelle (Monaghan) Fails, ME, Wendy (Havercamp) Liddle, Dawn (Fritcher) Koob, Below is Lori (Gilbert) Gee and myself.  Got to see a few more and visit the night before with Marlea VanRaden, Dan Bienemann, & Tami Thompson Haught.  Missed a couple that were going to be there Sat. night.  But all in all a fun time catching up with and reuniting with friends and family this month.
