Mime "Passion Play"

Caution...some of the photos may be disturbing. But that is okay because you have to see the disturbing to understand the Grace that God has given us all through His Son. Each year the High School Youth put on the passion of Christ performance in Mime form for the congregation. It is actually built into our Maundy Thursday service. As you can see from the photos below, there are "goods"(disciples, followers of Christ) and "bads" (evil, roman soliders, those that opposed Christ). Well this year Jeremey came home and told me that he was going to portray a "Bad" this year. I admit this was a bit disturbing to hear. No mother wants her child to be bad & evil. But some one has to play the part. And in the end he does end up repenting and turning to good....so I guess that is somewhat reassuring. The cast

Even though the story is the same each year, the kids always put their own emotions and interpretation into it and every year I get goose bumps and it really brings home the messege. I think the coolest thing is to see the impact that it has on the kids as they portray the story. It really does touch their souls and they gain a greater appreciation for the story and it deepens their Faith.
So to all...hope you have a wonderful Easter and hope that you take time to stop and appreciate the gift of Grace that God has provided for us All through Jesus.
