On Sunday we traveled to Coralville where Jaydin participated in the Midwest Starz Statewide Dance competition. What a fun day filled with great entertainment. Jaydin's Ballet and Hip Hop groups both danced. They had to dance in the 10-11 yr. old age category due to a couple of girls being older in the group, which made them nervous, but they got up there and just had a great time. Both performances earned a High Gold Award. More importantly they all had a blast. Below Jaydin poses with the trophy that she accepted on behalf of the Ballet group.
Below, Jaydin is "adopting a judge" and giving them the attitude eyes and smile during her hip hop dance "loose Urself". We reminded them to give it all they had on stage; as this was one time we would encourage them to be sassy and have an attitude, once they were off the stage they weren't going to be allowed to give us attitude anymore. 
Below Jaydin shows her beautiful ballerina arms as they begin the dance to "A place for Us". Everytime I see her ballet dances it brings tears to my eyes. I know that I am biased, but I just look at her and think...Wow there is my beautiful ballerina girl.
It was a long exhausting day but she loved every minute of it...(well except the having to wear make up part. she couldn't wait to "get the stuff off her face").
