On Tues. Grandma and Grandpa traveled down to join us for Jaydin's first band concert. (In blue above) It was a pretty big deal because they performed at the High School Auditorium. In the morning they did a practice run through at the HS and then got to ride the bus back to school...this was a huge deal for them as they are an all walking school and never get to ride on the bus. Anyway back to the concert...They did a great job, it is hard to believe they have only been playing for 6 months. Some of the pieces included: Theme and variations on Hot Cross Buns, Power Rock, Starlight, and Old Mak's Twinkling Lamb (I think this would have been Jackie's favorite, based on her last video). I don't know about you, but watching and performing in a band concert always makes you thirsty/hungry for DQ, so we took a little field trip after the concert...Thanks for the treat Grandma and Grandpa.
