RETREAT

n. shelter, refuge, resort
v. retire, withdraw, escape

Today Rob returns home from his retreat to MN fishing with the guys.  I can't wait to see the photos and hear all the stories.  It is always a week that he looks forward to.  Spending time on the boat, relaxing, and trying to hook the big one.  Fellowshipping with the Men, eating fried food, playing cards, and swapping stories.  It is such a great escape and special bonding time for him and we feel blessed that the family has included him.

Tis always an interesting week at home when Rob is gone.  Jaydin tends to get the MMD Flu (missing my daddy).  By day two she is experiencing headache, stomache ache etc. etc. and doesn't want to go to school....until she finds out that I have to work and she'd be home alone...suddenly she feels better and wants to go to school.  Or if I don't have to work and she finds out that if she stays home she will have to lay in her bed all day, with no TV, music, books etc...and that she can't participate in any extra curricular activites...she begrudingly feels better and goes to school.   Jeremey always steps it up a notch when Rob is gone... on top of his chores, communicates his whereabouts, offers to cook, etc.  I think it has something to do with the "keep your mom happy" speech that Rob delivers before he leaves.

I am always happy to have him return and am more thankful and appreciative of my better half.  So much so that I don't want to be selfish with these feelings...I want to give Rob the opportunity to experience those deep feelings as well.  So as a "favor" to him, I have scheduled myself a little RETREAT.  I will be departing on Sunday to RE-TREAT myself to some time in KC, hogging  (uhhumm) I mean hugging  that new baby Gwen and her big sister.

oh yeah....WELCOME HOME HONEY  !!!!
