Jaydin's 12th birthday will be in two days. She told me she wanted to get her ears pierced for her birthday, so today after school we went to the mall and got them done. She was sooo nervous, but wanted them done sooo badly. She squeezed my hands as the gals put them in. fortunately there were two gals available so they could do both ears at the same time. Afterwards she beemed with excitement and told me she felt so grown up now. It filled my heart with joy to see that huge smile on her face. It was a sentimental moment for me as it brought back memories of when I got my ears pierced. On my 12th birthday my G'ma Weinberg took me to Charles City to the jewelry store to get mine done. I felt so grown up too. When I shared the story with her she said "awe that's so cool, I kinda wish G'ma was with us". Soo sweet!

fortunately for Jaydin (but unfortunate for my pocketbook) she has an April birthday and the birthstone is a diamond. A lovely CZ will do just fine for both of us!
