Update....

in reverse order:

Midwest Stars Dance Competition  in Coralville on Sunday 3rd was held at the Mariott.  Jaydin's first dance was at 9:30a and her second one was at 3:30p.  We had to report 2 hours prior to each dance.  Needless to say it was a long, long day.  (I was tempted to rent a room and schedule wake up calls).  It was great fun to watch the girls perform.  They have really grown into beautiful ballerinas.  They recieved a gold award on both of their dances.

Below are some samples of the bracelets that Jaydin and her friends; Madison & Katie are selling at their business fair on Friday 15th.  Each group had to develop a product, promotional materials, and business plan.  They were allowed $10 each to put into the business, so with the $30 they bought string, beads, etc.  They have been working laboriously (along with their mothers) on making bracelets to sell.
Below is photo of Jeremey and I at the Air Force Academey in front of Arnold Hall.  He was able to meet with a councelor, attend a debriefing, and spend  the day with a Cadet (from Ames).  Meanwhile Mom, Dad, and I attended the debriefing, were taken on a tour of the campus, and then were able to tour the visitor center and chapel.
It happened to be the 57th anniversary of the Academy, so we were treated to a founder's day celebration and were able to watch a formal parade formation of the entire Academy prior to them going to lunch.  It was a pretty impressive sight. Below is just one of the squads.
Below is a snapshot of Mom & Dad with Jeremey and I prior to our departure.  We took off on Wed. @4pm and made it to Lincoln NE that night.  Stayed in a hotel and took off by 7am the next morning.  We arrived in Co. Springs by 3:30p Mountian time.  We were able to enjoy an evening at Wal-mart (as the pants that Jeremey packed to wear were 2 sized too small, & he and grandpa forgot to pack swimming suits for the pool) and then we ate a Red Robin for supper (YUM).
We headed home shortly after 3pm on Friday and made it to North Platte to stay and drove the rest of the way home on Saturday.  We arrived home @5pm and Jeremey and I had to head to church to meet up with the newly hired Youth & Family Director and his family.  We then joined them for supper and called it a night by 9pm. (as you'll recall from the beginning of the post...Jaydin and I had to be in Coralville by 7:30am the next morning).  It was a fast and furious trip, but we were blessed to be able to have Mom & Dad accompany us to keep my company during the tour and to keep the trip entertaining.
