Book Club: Reading between the Wines.....

No, it's not a typo.  I did mean Wines and not Lines.  So a friend of mine called me and asked if I would be interested in joining a book club.  I have been wanting to join a group again, but the opportunity had just not presented itself yet.  Another friend of ours just purchased a wine distribution company and they are marketing to the state of Iowa.  As part of their business they are doing many different wine tasting events and just trying to get their wine out there on the market.  So the two of them partnered together and came up with the concept of this book club called "Reading between the Wines".  One friend will lead the book group the other will provide the wine samples, we will discuss the book and then do "market research" or give feedback for the other friend on what wines we like, don't like etc.  Now, I am not a wine drinker, but I have been to a wine tasting event before and it is kind of fun.  I am looking forward to having an evening with other ladies my age to discuss a good book and do a little socializing.  Besides, I keep hearing all the reports about how a glass of wine is good for your heart....So really I am improving my mind (reading), my heart (a glass of wine), and my soul (socialization with others).  It's a healthy move!!!  First book up:  The Girls from Ames.
