Trick or Treat....

Couldn't help but think of my Gram Mehmen tonight as we passed out candy to all the Trick or Treaters tonight.  I have such fond memories of all the family (cousins, aunts, uncles etc) gathering at Gram's house to celebrate Halloween.   The cousins and friends would go as a group and hit every house in the town.  Sharing some great laughs along the way.  Gram would pass out the candy and tally the number of kids that would come to her door.  Every year "someone" would dress up in an unrecognizable costume and show up and make their way through the house as we would all try to guess who it was.  The kitchen table was always filled with snacks and goodies to eat and enjoy after the rounds had been made.  Good times, Good times.

This year ended up being a beautiful evening for trick or treating.  We brought the fire pit around to the driveway and sat out front enjoying the warmth of the fire and passing out candy to all the little ghouls.  We rigged up the radio so that we could listen to the LM playoff football game that was happening at the same time.  I didn't actually tally the kids, but based on the candy bought and what was left over I'd say we had somewhere in the neighborhood of 70-75 kids stop by.
Jaydin and her friend Madison dressed up as funky ballerinas and danced their way through the neighborhoods collecting lots of goodies.
Even Ollie got in on the action....he dressed up in his Air Force vest and posed for a picture.

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!!!
