Outstanding Rookie of the Year!!!

Sunday evening we attended the LM Men's Swimming year end banquet. It was a wonderful evening. We feasted on Carlos O'Kellys and enjoyed a slide show of the year set to the tunes that the boys listened to during the season. Rob and I were chuckling as the boys have all become fond of those 80's rock n roll tunes that we used to listen too. The funny part was the shock and awe of the boys as they saw that we knew the words to the songs and could sing along. I don't think that they realized that these tunes were 25 years old. After we ate the Coaches presented the awards for the year.... Jeremey was awarded the Outstanding Rookie of the Year Award. Above he poses with his trophy.
Above Jeremey earns his Varsity LM letters, accompanied by the pin and bar. He has put a letter jacket on his wish list for next christmas.

It pays to be a smarty pants....Certificates were given out to each grade level for the swimmer with the highest GPA for thier class. Jeremey tied with his friend Dylan. Yeah...it's cool to be smart!!
(l to r) Coach Cortez, Coach Starkey, and Jeremey pose for an end of the year photo.
It was a night filled with fun and proud moments. Jeremey is already gearing up for the summer season. He and some of the guys are going to start swimming laps at the indoor pool this weekend. They are all pumped about the summer swim season that will begin the first part of June.
