*today is day 7 of Jaydin being under the weather. We caught the flu bug and it seems to be hanging on. Probably could have made it to school today but glands are still swollen and I decided to keep her in the bubble for one more day. (note...they were dropping like flies when I stopped into school yesterday to pick up her homework) Since her immunities are low, I just don't want to send her back to the cesspool of germs. Maybe tomorrow.
*work has been crazy as we are heavy into the holiday floorset and co-workers are dropping like flies with the flu crud. Also learned that our Asst. Mgr. Annie's mom died suddenly on Monday evening.
*This coming Sunday is confirmation Sunday, so on this past Sunday we had a rehearsal dinner of sorts. The kids read their faith statements and signed the wall in the high school room. We hung their banners and took care of all the final arrangements for their big day.
*Sat. got caught up on laundry. and took in some movie rentals. Jeremey spent the weekend in Eagle Cave, Wisc.. He went spelunking with his scout troop and slept in the caves.
*Fri. night was our last home football game and I helped run the concessions stands. The men's swim parents were in charge of this game....we had a blast. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. And the game was a blow out...45-0. Best season Linn Mar has had in years.
* last week was a short week of school as the kids had Fri. off and we took them out on the previous Mon. so we could travel home from K.C.
*Below Jackie is sitting on Jaydin's lap as they "watch barbie movie...yeah". We had a blast playing with Jackie. She thought Jaydin was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
* Below...guys take off for the Cowboys vs Chiefs game. Thank you John for the awesome suite and hospitality. It was a dream come true for Rob. According to Jeremey the food was great too!
*Below is Jeremey and his friend Megan freezing while I took a picture of them before they went out to eat and then to the Homecoming dance. Don't the look cute?!
* Below is the Linn Mar marching lions at the state Marching band contest, held the same day as the homecoming dance. Here they are warming up before their performance. They earned a division 1 rating.
* below are a couple of shots from the Homecoming parade on the 9th. Jaydin thought it would be funny to get a shot of her "running from the law". Note the police car in the background. It was freezing cold and she was disappointed that the elementary schools canceled their entries in the parade so she didn't get to march in it. On the upside...lots of candy was collected.

We also went to the game that night and froze our little tootsies off. We ended up losing to Cedar Falls. Our only loss this year. Nonetheless we had a good time and enjoyed the half time entertainment.* so there you have it...all the back blogs wrapped up in one. I hope to stay on top of things a little better this week.
