Hawk Spotting.....

Inside the US Cellular Center at the 2009 13th Annual Indoor Marching Band Classic. What a treat it was. All of the Cedar Rapids/Marion Metro Bands combined with the Iowa Hawkeye Marching Band (1000+) playing together the National Anthem and America The Beautiful. It simply sent chills down your spine and almost moved you to tears. Wow! Wow! Wow! We're gonna fight, fight, fight for Iowa...Until the game is won.....Go Hawks!

Play it Jeremey...a little Ecstasy of Gold from "The Music of Metallica". Each individual school performed their half time show to cap off the year. You know when you go to the 4th of July fireworks and it comes time for the grand finale....the fireworks seem to be the biggest and best combination of the whole evening and they just keep going. Well that was the feeling for the night. We are wrapping up the season of Marching Band and it seems to be a grand finale week...we have events almost every night this week and we are being showered with the best performances show after show. It is truly jaw dropping. What a fun season it has been. We are trying to soak it all in before we transition to the next phase of Jazz and Concert Band performances.
