Today we road tripped to Grinnell for a swim meet. It was an invite consisting of 6 teams. Travel was good, although I was amazed to count about 10 cars/semi's still in the ditch from Wed. storm on the stretch from CR to IC. The Guys had an amazing showing at the meet. They took 1st place overall!!! This is huge for their team as they have been slowly building into a competitive group over the last couple of years. They shaved time in almost every event...anywhere up to 5 sec. and found themselves placing in every heat. Pardon me as I brag a little; Jeremey had is all time best time in his 50 free....26.75 sec. that's almost a full second shaved from his previous time. His 200 free relay placed 5th overall and they got a ribbon! Way to Go Lions!! Keep it up and we may see some district and possible state contenders.
Next up...a dual on Tues. at Coe, and then Sat. we road trip to Clinton.
