Aeronautics Test...

In 5th grade! Are you kidding me?! Nope, this week Jaydin came home with flash cards and study guides for the Aeronautics unit they are on in science and requested our help in studying for it. Label the parts of an airplane and list the definition/functions of each. Diagram lift, thrust, pull, and gravity and tell about thier relevence. Wow...I think we planted some trees or something in 5th grade...maybe studied some rocks? Things sure have changed over the years.

I had to chuckle though because she was also kind of mad because the boy who collects papers to turn in for his class job this month, picked hers up before she put her name on it and turned it in. So she had to write her 1st and last name 100 times, to help her remember to put her name on her papers. When she was done I asked her if she put her name on the paper (trying to be funny) and she said "YES I DID" so that makes 101 times. So I was relieved that some things don't change...and that she had a sense of humor about the punishment.

I can see it will only get more interesting. Good thing I don't have to help Jaydin. How did kids get to be so intelligent at that age? Wow. Thank goodness she has an intelligent Mom, Dad and Brother. love. GM
