CAUTION!!! bragging about to occur...

Last night was a crazy night of activities. We started with Girl Scout meeting (3:30-5), next Jaydin needed to be at dance by 5:45. I took her to the studio & paid the gal at the coffee shop some $$ and told her that Jaydin needed some sort of healthy supper in between her classes and that I would be back at 8pm to pick her up.

Now on to the swim meet at Washington High across town (actually started at 5:30) to watch Jeremey swim. I missed his first event, but was there for the 100 free...(here's where the bragging begins) He did awesome, shaved a little over 2 sec. and came in at 59.89 sec.. His personal goal for the year was to come in under a minute in this event. He swam his buns off and when he saw the time on the board I thought he would pull a muscle giving the arm pump of excitement. He ended up placing 5th overall in the event and got to stand on the awards podium...Of all the nights to not have my camera!!! UGH!!! His 200 free relay shaved 6 sec. on their time and the 400 free relay shaved 13 sec....yes I said 13 sec.. They ended up getting 4th place and a podium appearance for the 200 relay event as well. Fortunately Rob had the video camera so we did get the events recorded. But sorry folks, no photo for the blog...you'll just have to envision the smooth movement of arms stretching across the water, the intense kick with just the perfect amount of splash, the smooth and quickness of the flip turn and strength of the push off and streamline. The tilt of the head afterwards to look at the scoreboard, and then bending of the knees and pumping of the elbow/fist combo, as well as, the smile from ear to ear with a humble YESSSS! followed by a high five from the coach.

Shortly after, I had to take off to get back across town to get Jaydin picked up. I missed the hoopla at the end, but what a proud moment to have witnessed.
