Not so much! This my friends is my new aircast. Isn't it lovely? We have moved into protection mode with my heal as the MRI results showed a great deal of damage to the soft tissue and ligaments...thickness and inflamation...yada yada yada. I begged for a shot, but this is not an option due to the degree of the situation. Something about it would require so many shots to get rid of the pain that there would be a risk of detachment of the achillis tendon and apparently that is a bigger problem??!!! Okay so I guess I will wear the boot for 3 weeks and take the steriod treatments to reduce the inflamation and pray for the ligaments to heal. Ugh! Well, I never have been one to do things half way...Dr. Nassif told me this was one of the worst cases of Plantar Faciaitis (sp?) that he had seen. At least with the aircast, I can still get around. The steps are a little challenging, and I am learning to drive with my left foot, but am thankful that I didn't get sentenced to immobility. This patient's patience are running thin, so any prayers of healing you can sneak in would be greatly appreciated.Tuesday, January 5, 2010

Paula, sorry to hear about wearing an air cast. Hope that helps you, I know your patience is thin, but hang in there, it will get better.
Love, Mom
Just think...if you get mugged, you could really do some damage with that thing! Love ya,
Jolyn
Make sure you where it all the time and I can't wait to sign it!! Think of it as a new hip fashion attire! Love ya, Jana
