And the Oscar goes to.......

IMAGINARY HARRY....and his fan club.  Jeremey tried out for the fall play this year and landed the part of Harry in "Imaginary Harry".  What a fun experience for him.  He has always had a stage presence.  From the time he was little he loved to stand on the fireplace ledge and perform.  So it didn't surprise us when he said he was going to try out.  He has done the behind the scenes work for the last two years...being on the tech crew and building the sets, helping with lighting, sound etc.  We are so thrilled that he has been able to experience both sides of the stage.  I would have loved to post some photos from the actual play, but we weren't able to take photos or record.  Hopefully we will be able to land a DVD of the performance.  You'll have to take our word for it that he did an awesome job (of course we are his parents and we're biased).  His character was actually the imaginary friend of a boy who had struggled all his life to fit in and to have the confidence to be who he was.  Harry encourages his confidence and walks through life with him as he discovers his talents and is heard by his parents and others who he is.  The interesting part is that Harry has a cleft pallate and so when he speaks...only vowels come out.  The boy is the only one that can clearly understand him...that is until the boy gains the self confidence and transitions into  life being comfortable with the gifts he has to offer.  At this point Harry begins to be able to speak clearly too.  It was really quite a deep messege...but filled with the comic fun of reality.

What a blessing to have his grandparents attend the play on various nights!!  Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.  Above G'ma & G'pa Mehmen & below Nana & Papa Burley pose with the kids.

I remember being invited to Backstreet Boys concert when he was about 5 years old! That was quite a performance and I remember baby Jaydin got a kick out of him too! Congrats Jeremey!
