INTRODUCING......

OLIVER "OLLIE" BURLEY

Ollie is the newest member of the Burley family....he is a handsome Maltese that is about 8 weeks old.  He is currently residing in Coggen with a family friend.  We will bring him home at Christmas time.  I know that we are probably crazy for doing this....but how can you say no to that little face.   The good thing about Maltese's:  they don't shed, they are a smaller dog (12-15 lbs full grown), very well mannered and love kids.  He is a purebread, has all his shots and papers and my friend Deb is starting the potty training process for us (she kennel trains them) and we are comfortable with the love and care that He is getting from our friends until he comes home.  We were introduced about a month ago when we visited their farm for dinner....we were smitten with Ollie at first sight, but thought we should wait and think about it.  That very next day at work, Rob had a little Maltese dog on his route follow him and walk with him delivering the mail.  It was super friendly and when he talked to the owner, the owner just raved about what good pets they were.  The next night I had a dream about Ollie, but didn't tell anyone, cuz I figured they would think I was crazy...well just when we finally decided we should just hold off, Deb sends this email to us with this slide show of Ollie and his brother Willie announcing that they were ready to be sold.   I was hesitant about taking it on right now with the crazy holidays and work schedules etc...when she offered to let make installments to pay for him and help out with the training, we decided we would be fools to not take advantage of the situation.  So now that we have decided to take on this venture...it just feels right and we are all pretty pumped up about it.  The kids are thrilled and have been talking all day about the plans they have for Ollie.  So for now....we wait, but after Christmas stay tunned as I am sure we will have all kinds of Ollie stories.
