Prom Night

On Saturday it was Linn Mar's Prom. Rob and I attended the festivities. We were Chaperones for the dance. It was fun to see how Prom has changed in the last 25 years. The dresses are much more elaborate, the decorations are more elaborate, and the refreshment table is filled with chocolate fountains, and catered in snacks. WOW! When one of the gals from church asked us to chaperone, we jumped on the opportunity to get an inside glimpse of what we are in for in a couple of years. There were 734 students in attendance this year. The all had to have thier ID's scanned in upon arrival and then scanned upon thier departure. That way parents could go online and check to see exactly what time they arrived and left. (Ah the benefits of modern tech.) We just sat at the doors and guided students to depart through the appropriate door and visited with the Principal and reminisced about our Proms. Overall a fun little date.
