Per Readers Request....

So I was informed that my readers were awaiting my next post. I have to admit I attempted 2 times to send out a blog with photos of the Men returning from the great North. However, for some reason I cannot get a photo uploaded. I apologize for the delay. Here's what you all have missed in the last week:

Friday- Rob returns from his fishing trip with many a fun story to share. Sounds like a great time was had by all. What they lacked in quantity of fish this year was made up for in size. 10lb northern caught by Fred was the fish fry winner. Also Jeremey left for a Camporee weekend for scouts.

Saturday- filled with laundry duty as well as Rob getting conduit run in the basement and then a trip to Menards to get lumber for the studs for walls and insulation for basement. Jaydin had dance in the afternoon and I worked that evening. Recieved word that a dear friends daughter (11yrs old) Emily was going to have to have surgery on Monday to have a nerf football sized cyst removed from her ovary. Fear of cancer. Not much sleep this night.

Sunday- S.S. School and Church Rally sunday assembly. Also much distress as we all absorbed the information about Emily's surgery and cried and prayed and etc. Rob meets his 5/6 grade sunday school class for the first time. Jeremey returns home from campout. I attend a 2 1/2 hour meeting for boyscouts in the afternoon, while Rob worked on setting studs and insulation in the basement. The meeting was focused on having some problems with the 10th -12th grade boys having some discipline and lack of respect for authority issues...I was amazed at some of the solutions that people were suggesting....for example, let's do something special for the group, make them feel important and have special events just for them to participate in...UMM, call me crazy, but that sounds like we should reward bad behavior, rather wouldn't it be more appropriate to tell this group to get it together, be responsible and own thier actions or their OUT! Since when has setting expectations and holding kids accountable for their actions become a foriegn concept. Am I missing something here? Upon return from the meeting I find Jeremey working on the final drafts of a 16 page english paper due...yes the next day!!! ARGH! Meanwhile, Jaydin is noticing the level of stress in the house and pulls out a book that she recieved from the school councelor about dealing with stress and decides to give us all a seminar on how to handle it all. (keep in mind she wanted us all to drop everything we were working on and attend her seminar being held in the living room) I did humor her and attend but the boys were too stressed to stop thier projects and attend which caused Jaydin a little frustration. Jeremey was supposed to attend a fun at the farm church youth event from 3-8pm which I put the cabosh on when I recognized that there was no way that he would get his 16 page paper typed and assembled in 15 min. Needless to say it was 11pm before Jeremey and I went to bed. I have to admit I lost track of the the other 2 members of the family for the rest of the evening.

Monday- kids off to school, Rob hit the basement and started sheetrocking. I offered to help for an hour before I left for work....I guess I have a little problem with feeling the need to supervise?!? I know this may come as a shock to many of you....NOT! Anyway let's just say Rob got twice as much accomplished once I left. We now have walls and its looking like a real room again! So I ended up leaving work a little early to head to the hospital to be with my friend and wait with the family while Emily had surgery....a very long couple of hours. All went better than expected and the preliminary biopsy is looking to be negative for cancer. PTL!! She was a brave young lady and quite a trooper. I return home around 5:30pm to the ?? Hey mom, what's for supper? a common ? in our home. Papa Murphy's Pizza it was. Jeremey attended scouts and Jaydin and I settled in to watch Dancing with the Stars. At 9Pm I recieve a phone call from Jeremey...oh yeah I forgot to pick him up from scouts, and by the way could a bring a $300 check to deposit for his trip to New Mexico next summer.

Tuesday- I frantically prep for a girl scout meeting this evening. Got a phone call from Rob with instructions to make a trip to Menards to pick up some more needed supplies for him. Other than that an average day of school, homework, actually made a meal for supper and went to girl scouts and then home in time to catch the last part of Dancing with the Stars.

Wednesday- I stopped by the hospital to visit miss Emily before heading to work. She was doing well, until they came in and removed the dressing from the incision and she saw the staples...kind of freaked out a bit, but we tried to keep her spirits about her. Headed to work and then after work, picked up kids from school, delivered home and hit the homework in attempt to finish prior to Logos at church. Jeremey arrives home with his graded english paper from Monday....he got an A-. We were very relieved and reflected on the lessons learned. Meanwhile I glanced at my calendar and realized that I needed to make a dozen apple muffins for school for Apple for the Teacher Day. So found a recipe and whipped those up. Was wise in remembering to label them so they didn't get eaten by the family. Headed off to church until 7:30pm. Had to return to pick up Jeremey (no I didn't forget him again) he had his small group meeting until 9pm. Missed Dancing with the stars but Jaydin informed me that Ted McKinley got eliminated.

So that brings us to today. Delivered my muffins. Noticed that Rob cleared room to work on taping and mudding the seams in the basement today. He didn't actually state that he wanted me to work on it...but I can take a hint. Was informed that once again certain members of the family only had 1 clean pr. of shorts/ socks and needed laundry done. Realized It has almost been a week and the laundry fairy had not shown up to do it, so must get that accomplished today. Jaydin has dance tonight, and Jeremey must go through the drueling (or should I say drooling) experience of timing for the girls swim meet tonight.(ha Ha)

Looking ahead...tomorrow is the day to pick up the popcorn sales forms for boyscouts....get your orders ready, Jeremey will be calling. Saturday is the High School Marching Band extravaganza, Jaydin has dance and I work in the evening.

So that's it with us...wish I could get the pictures to download, not sure what the problem is. I will continue to play around with it in attempt to successfully post.
