I can't believe it is friday already. The week has flown by and it feels like we have packed about 2 weeks worth of stuff into 5 days. Here's the run down by person:
Jaydin: This week we kicked off our Girl scout meetings for the week, also was the first night of
our Logos Program at Church. Thursday night she attended her Tap and Ballet classes,
tonight we have a girl scout overnight campout at a local nature center, and tomorrow
she has her first hip hop dance class for the year. BTW her Ballet teacher went
into labor on her way to teach the class, so we are waiting to hear the exciting news
of her delivery. She also had a foot doctor appt. as we have found that she has some warts that have popped up on the bottom of her heal. So we are trying to
knock these out before they get out of control. This with the "rigorous" spelling
homework, some math, and lots of reading have led to her somewhat sensitive
mood. Also she is coping with the fact that her daddy is leaving for a week long
fishing trip and she had to say goodbye this morning, since we will be on our
campout before Daddy gets home from work.
Jeremey: Kicked off his week with boyscouts, which involved an extra meeting for a trip that
he is planning to take with a high adventure group to New Mexico next summer. They
will be riding horseback up into the mountains and camping for a week. So they planned
a training ride this weekend. Jeremey also kicked off Logos as high schooler this week
so he had a whole new routine of meal/rec. fun/ large groups/ & small groups. He was
excited to have Al as his small group leader. He also signed up to help run the nursery
on Sunday mornings. He has been recieving a lot of preliminary information regarding
HS mens swim team which will begin in the next month. Not to mention, he has had
several writing assignments and a history project due this week.
Rob: high ho, high ho, its off fishing he will go. He has been packing and getting equipment
ready for the annual fishing expidition with Dad, Paul, and the Brunner gang. He also
has been plugging away at the basement. We now have lights!! we also have 4 extra
holes in the ceiling, but that is a minor detail. The shower is functional, and the drain
pipes have been burried and covered in cement. With any luck, I will be able to get the
tile flooring done in the next week. This with working late almost every night....I am
glad he will have a week to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
Paula: Well aside from trying to keep everyone else's schedules in tact, I am a leader for
Jaydin's scout troop, so had to get organized and get the meeting kicked off. Also am
the family time director for the Logos program, so had a lot of little details to wrap up
and get organized for that kick off. Worked on Monday and Wednesday and now today
whipped up a batch of homemade salsa. Now I am meditating and prepping myself for
the girlscout campout tonight, as I am going to be the adult chaperone. My co-leader has
come down with the YUK today and isn't able to go tonight....so it will be me and 7 4th
graders, in a tent , in the woods, in the rain.....AM I INSANE??
So there is is....our week in a nut shell. Tune in after the weekend and I should have some photos of our fun filled campout with the girls tonight.
