PROCRASTINATION

Things I need to do today:
*pay bills
*send out 2 "flush letters" to candidates we have interviewed for Associate Pastor position at church
*finish chipping the tile from downstairs floor
*wash dishes
*pack up more "stuff" & find a place to store it in prep for new carpet
*weed the gardens
*take Jaydin to dance this afternoon
*attend a party planning meeting at school tonight
*check Jeremey's grades online to ensure he attended his band lesson today

Things I have done today
*watched a little Good Morning America
*played on my Blog
*Called Jeremey on his new cell phone to remind him of his band lesson today
*ran Jaydin's planner to her at school that she left on the couch
*checked my email and responded as needed
*tried to come up with other things to do in attempt to aviod that which I should do from the list above

Ever have one of those day??? All week I have been looking forward to this day as I have no outside committments until 4:45 this afternoon and beyond. So I was going to use this day productively to get caught up on all the things I have been needing to do this week. Well, now the day is here....and I have no motivation to accomplish any of it. I am finding myself dilly dallying around avoiding the neccessary. WHY? perhaps it is because the creatures of the night kept me awake most of last night (namingly, raccoons, screetching owls, dogs, and Jaydin). At 2:43am a huge ruckus was occuring in our backyard...screetching, scattering, clawing, squealing, barking & the works. All the while inside I awoke to that sound and an arm across my face and a foot in my back. I wasn't able to fully get back to sleep again. So now I am droggy, and unmotivated and simply whinning to myself...and all of you reading this :-) !!

Maybe I'll take a walk and give myself a little pep talk...WAIT that isn't on the list. Okay I guess I'll pay the bills and then go for a walk.
