The Husband Lottery that is! So about a week or so ago my cousin Michelle had done a husband tag on her blog. This is where you challenge your husband to come up with 2o facts about you and share on the blog. I was teasing Rob about this and said that I thought it would be fun for him to do. Little did I know that the wheels were turning in his head and that this would inspire the Valentines gift he got for me. Every year I remind him that I don't want him to spend $$ on things like jewelry or fancy flowers for me (frugle to a fault-I know) that it doesn't take that kind of stuff to make me feel loved a simple card is fine. So this year I awoke to a note laying in the bed with a #2 and a messege on it?! I then found one on a stack of clothes in my closet with a #3 on it and a messege about how much he appreciated my fashion sense and always made him look good. I saw Jeremey's bedroom light on and when I went in his room he said "here, Dad wanted me to give you this" it was note #4 telling me how he was thankful that God had given us a son etc etc....next was a note from Jaydin's room saying how thankful he was that God had given us a daughter etc etc. So I realized that he has stashed these notes all over the house. 21 of them in total to represent the 21 years that we have been each others valentines and along with them the 2o facts about me that he appreciates. BTW note #1 was in the bathroom...yes that is usually my first stop, it is true the older I get the weaker my bladder is. Not wanting the kids to miss out on the fun, he also made little notes for each of them and created a fun filled morning of scavenger hunt for us. Jaydin had 10 and Jeremey 15 each to represent the number of years we have been blessed with them. Once we found all the notes and laid them out in order it spelled out a special valentine wish for each of us. xxooxxoo!!! So ladies...with no offense to anyone, I do declare I have won the Husband Lottery and I have chosen to not cash it all in at once but rather to take small installments of my winnings for the next 60+ years of my life.
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day filled with hugs from those you love!
