Pants vs Bottoms ???

Contrary to popular belief these are two different things. Bottom n. lowest part; base; underside. Pants pl. n. trousers. Okay so a friend of mine who has a daughter a few years older than Jaydin just recently cleaned out her daughters closet. She too is a dancer and so she gave Jaydin a bunch of dance shoes...what a blessing as we were in need of some new ones. A couple days later Joleen brought some flannel plaid pj pants with Linn Mar written across the backend and a sweatshirt to match as well some other Linn Mar logo sweatshirts. Jaydin thought she was in heaven recieving these from Riley's mom. Any way Jaydin came out in the flannel pj pants and sweatshirt to wear to school yesterday. Rob and I looked at her and asked if it was PJ day or something. She said no and rolled her eyes at us and then continued to explain that these were flannel pants not pj bottoms....therefore she they were not pajamas and she could wear them to school. Of course we were intriged to hear the theory behind this so we both asked "aren't they the same thing?" Very much wanting to wear these to school she went into a long elaboration about the difference between pants and bottoms. Pants being something that one wears as an outfit, and bottoms being something that one wears to bed. Basically with passion trying to convince us that she should be allowed to wear them to school. We rolled our eyes and said whatever....afterall there are worse things she could want to wear. Got to pick your battles. The most humerous part of the whole thing was last night when Rob told Jaydin to go get her pajamas on and she smirkingly said I already have them on, I am just going to wear this to bed. So of course Rob and I jumped on that and reminded her that she passionately stated that the flannel pants were not pj bottoms. She just rolled her eyes and said whatever. TOO FUNNY!!
