Event-filled Weekend...

Sat. 7:00am- Jeremey departs to Clinton for the State Jazz Festival. Linn Mar took 4 Jazz Band groups to compete. Jeremey's 9th grade group earned a division 1 rating. Yahoo!

Sat. 8:00am- Jaydin and I arrive to what we thought was her basketball game, however I was wrong, her game wasn't until 9:00am. Jaydin rolls her eyes and shakes her head at me. This is the story of my life....at least we were early and not late. We watched her friend Anna play the early game and then she had her game. They have made great progress in the last week.

Sat. 12:30pm - Jeremey is supposed to swim in IC at the conference swim meet, however due to the timing of his Jazz performance, we were unable to get him to the meet on time for warm ups, so he forgoes the swim meet.

Sat. 1pm - Jaydin has hip hop class. They learn a new portion of thier dance. Their teacher tells them that they have to finish it and get it clean by the 1st weekend in April if they want to take it to statewide competition. The girls are determined to make it happen.

Sat. 7:00pm- Jeremey returns from Clinton...starving of course. We actually sit down as a family to eat pizza together at 7:30pm. Jaydin informs us that statistics show that kids whose families eat meals together have more confidence in themselves in the activities that they participate in. I asked her if she felt confident in her activities...she said "so-so" Reality check...my family longs to eat meals together. Noted, now that activities are winding down we will make an honest effort to do so.

Sun. 8am-1pm- Boyscout Pancake Breakfast...YUM! We enjoyed breakfast headed to church and then returned to serve and help clean up.

Sun. 2pm- Jaydin attends a birthday party at the Ice Arena...they got a 30 min. skating lesson and then enjoyed free skating and pizza.

Sun. 4pm - Jaydin and I swing by the grocery store to pick up some snackies for our enjoyment while we watched the super bowl.

We were sad that the Cardinals lost, and of course we thought the referees were obviously Steelers fans. But non-the-less we analyzed the commercials and were impressed that the Boss still has it going on.....although we noticed that he was breathing a little heavier than he did 20 years ago when he performed and his movements were a little more stiff. How old is he anyway?...Rob and I just remember that he was old 20 years ago, but you have to admire that he can still kick it up.
