I love a parade...

I have to admit I always have enjoyed parades. We went to the Linn Mar homecoming parade last evening. It was fun to see the floats and all the different groups participate. Jeremey walked along with the band to hand out candy and flyers about their spaghetti supper fundraiser that they are having tonight. (you have to be a sophomore to be in marching band, so the freshman hand out the candy and flyers). It occured to me that this would be the last parade that I would actually be taking kids to as next year Jaydin will get to march in the parade with the 5th graders to represent her school. (each of the 6 elementary buildings get to have an entry in the parade and ours always has the 5th graders march) so looks like next year I'll have to recruit some neighborhood kids to take along to watch and collect the candy. It was a beautiful day 60 degrees and sunny. Below are some photos I snapped...

Jaydin and her friend Paige smile as they wait for the parade to begin

Throw us some candy Jeremey

Here comes the band

The end of the parade, Jeremey is out of candy
